On September 25th, we joined the “Circular and Bio-based Building Solutions” workshop organised by 3L Architects during the Sustainable Places 2024 conference hosted at the Luxembourg European Convention Center. Giulia Viero from the Institute of European Energy and Climate Policy has presented the case to the participants alongside other contributing projects BIO4EEB, EASI-ZERo, REINCARNATE, MEZeroE, Wood2Wood. The roundtable discussion focused on the urgency to provide more evidence to advance our understanding on what it is possible in terms of application and implementation of bio-based solutions for construction, as well as overcoming economic, political and regulatory barriers, discussing synergies for increasing energy efficiency and achieving climate neutral conditions.
